BIOGRAPHY
The squad’s newest recruit who had just finished her Leaving Cert and was still only 18 when she made her debut for Ireland last Summer in the European Sevens Championship Series. She took up rugby with PortDara RFC and was part of their successful U16s before joining Ireland’s development squad. Part of the team who made history by winning their first ever World Series tournament in Perth in January. Alanna is a qualified personal trainer and is believed to be only the third Laois-born athlete to become an Olympian after rower Frank Moore and runner Anne Keenan Buckley.
