BIOGRAPHY
A former athletics competitor, Barry Delany transitioned into bobsleigh through his sprinting and throwing background, competing on the international circuit as a brakeman, as Ireland sought qualification for the 2002 Winter Olympics.
Following his competitive career, Delany moved into administration and coaching with the Irish Bobsleigh and Skeleton Association.
He later served as Chef d’Équipe for Ireland’s women’s bobsleigh team at the 2010 Winter Olympics, overseeing team operations at the Games.
