BIOGRAPHY
Michelle Finn made her Olympic debut at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games, finishing 11th in her heat.
In June 2021, Finn achieved a personal best of 9:29.25 at the Paavo Nurmi Games in Finland, narrowly missing the Irish record of 9:28.29 set by Roisin McGettigan in 2007.
This performance secured her qualification for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where she recorded a time of 9:36.26 in the heats.
Finn also represented Ireland at the 2015 and 2019 World Championships and the 2018 European Championships.
Balancing athletics with academics, Finn holds a degree in communications from Western Kentucky University and a master’s in nutrition from the University of Limerick.
