Ayeisha McFerran was named goalkeeper of the tournament at the 2018 Women's Hockey World Cup, where Ireland reached the final.
She played in the women's hockey tournament at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, where Ireland finished tenth.
McFerran took up hockey at seven in Larne and was an Irish dancer and flute player in her youth. She attended Larne Grammar School and made her senior debut for Ireland on 11 January 2014, the day after her 18th birthday, while still a club player with Randalstown. She won a hockey scholarship to the University of Louisville, where she was named an NFHCA All-American four times, and later joined Pegasus. She is from Larne, County Antrim.
