BIOGRAPHY

Brendan Hyland swam the 200 metres butterfly at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, finishing 23rd in the heats in 1:57.09, and was part of the men's 4x200 metres freestyle relay team, Ireland's first Olympic swimming relay in 49 years.

Hyland grew up in Knocklyon and joined Tallaght Swimming Club at a young age, training there throughout his career. He comes from a boxing family.
