Daniel ‘Dan’ Corry

Dan Corry competed in the showjumping Prix des Nations at the 1948 London Olympic Games - the first appearance of showjumping under Irish colours at the Olympics - finishing 14th individually with 21.25 faults on Tramore Bay. The all-Army Irish team competed on a course of sixteen closely-spaced obstacles at the Empire Stadium on 14 August, in conditions made more difficult by torrential rain that fell before the competition.
