Kathy Baker played in the women's rugby sevens tournament at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where Ireland finished eighth on the team's first appearance at the Olympic Games, nine months after sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament injury and completing an intensive rehabilitation programme to be fit for the Games.
Baker attended King's Hospital School in Dublin, where hockey was her first sport. A girls' sevens team started at the school in her fifth year and she played both before concentrating on rugby. She is from Kilcloon, County Meath.
