BIOGRAPHY

Finn McGeever swam the second leg of the men's 4x200 metres freestyle relay at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the first Irish men's relay team to compete at an Olympic Games and the first Irish swimming relay of any kind since the women's team in 1972.

The team finished 14th overall, placing eighth in their heat in 7:14.58.

McGeever grew up on the banks of Lough Derg in Ballina, County Tipperary.
