Katie Mullan captained Ireland to the 2018 Women's Hockey World Cup final in London, the first time an Irish team in any field sport reached a World Cup final, and led the side to their first Olympic qualification.
She captained Ireland in the women's hockey tournament at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, where Ireland finished tenth.
Mullan grew up in Coleraine, County Derry, attended Dalriada School in Ballymoney and began her hockey career with Ballymoney HC. She also played camogie for CLG Eoghan Rua.
