BIOGRAPHY

Eric Favors competed in the men’s shot put at the Paris 2024 Olympics, recordeding a throw of 19.02 meters and placing 27th overall.

He has achieved significant milestones in his athletic career. He set a national record with a personal best throw of 20.93 meters on April 27, 2024. Additionally, he secured first place at the European Games with a throw of 20.28 meters.

Born and raised in Rockland, New York, Favors has Irish heritage through his grandmother from Ballina, County Mayo. He was coached in high school by Paddy McGrath, an Irish hammer thrower who competed in the Sydney Olympics.
