BIOGRAPHY

Pat Hooper competed in the men’s marathon at the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games, finishing 42nd in 2:30:28.

Along with his brother Dick, Pat Hooper made history at the Moscow Games as part of the first pair of brothers to represent Ireland in the Olympic marathon. The Hooper brothers’ joint appearance was described as history-making by team manager Liam Hennessy.
