BIOGRAPHY

Luke made his first big leap in 2021 when his 3:36:81 knocked five seconds off his PB and went on to debut at European and World Championships over the next two years. An injury delayed his 2024 start until May, forcing him to race in seven countries within five weeks in pursuit of Olympic qualification. He ran his personal best as part of the Stockholm Diamond League pre-programme in June which moved him fourth on the Irish all-time list, and he opted to miss the Europeans in Rome to concentrate on his Olympic preparation. His sister Jodie is also making her Olympic debut in Paris.
