BIOGRAPHY

John Connor competed in the men’s triple jump at the 1924 Paris Olympic Games, finishing 10th overall.

A Belfast-based athlete, Connor was one of two northern Irish athletes on the athletics team who underwent special preparation for Paris together with W.J. Lowe.

His participation was an important demonstration of the all-Ireland character of the Irish Olympic team.
