BIOGRAPHY

Gary Duff competed in the men’s 50 metres rifle prone event at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games at the Wolf Creek Shooting Complex.

Duff had made the transition from recreational gun club shooting to competitive rifle shooting and earned his Atlanta wild card place with a superlative performance at a World Cup competition in Munich in June 1996, where he scored 594 points from a possible maximum of 600 – the highest ever recorded by an Irish competitor in international shooting.
