Shane Sweetnam

Shane Sweetnam finished 22nd individually and seventh with the Irish team in show jumping at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, riding at the Chateau de Versailles alongside Daniel Coyle and Cian O'Connor.

At Tokyo 2020 he travelled as a reserve before replacing Cian O'Connor in the team event, where he had a fall from Alejandro early in the competition. Ireland withdrew their remaining riders and did not complete the team final.

Sweetnam is from Dunmanway, County Cork.
