Eddie Dunbar has won three stages at the Vuelta a España - two in 2024 and a third on stage 19 of the 2026 edition, attacking from a breakaway on the summit finish at Peñas Blancas - and won the overall classification at the 2022 Settimana Internazionale di Coppi e Bartali.
He won the Irish National Time Trial Championship in 2024 and finished seventh overall at the 2023 Giro d'Italia. A climbing specialist who began his professional career with Aqua Blue Sport in 2018 before joining Team Sky, later Ineos Grenadiers, he moved to Team Jayco-AlUla in 2023 and joined Pinarello-Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team in 2026.
He rode the men's road race at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Before concentrating on cycling, he played rugby. He is from Banteer, County Cork, and began his cycling career with O'Leary Stone Kanturk.
