Paris 2024 Olympian Ben Healy is one of the leading Irish cyclists of his generation, known for his attacking style and long solo breakaways.
He won stage 6 of the 2025 Tour de France with a solo attack of 42 kilometres - arriving in Vire Normandie alone, two minutes and 44 seconds clear of his chasers - and went on to wear the yellow jersey on stage 10, the most celebrated performance of his career to date.
Healy also won the combativity award at that Tour de France, a bronze medal at the 2025 UCI Road World Championships, and a stage at the Itzulia Basque Country, with a third place at Liège-Bastogne-Liège and a fourth at Strade Bianche among his spring classics results.
His breakout season came in 2023, when he won a stage of the Giro d'Italia with a 50-kilometre solo, finished second at the Amstel Gold Race, and won the GP Industria e Artigianato. He also won a stage at the Tour of Slovenia in 2024 and finished tenth in the men's road race at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, having been in contention for a medal deep into the race.
An Irish national road race champion (2020 and 2023) and time trial champion (2022), he became the youngest ever stage winner at the Tour de l'Avenir in 2019. He joined World Tour team EF Education-EasyPost in 2021. Born near Birmingham, he qualifies for Ireland through his Cork grandparents.
