Sarah Hawkshaw was named All-America in her final two seasons at the University of Massachusetts, where she studied from 2014 to 2017 on a hockey scholarship and graduated ranked eighth in the programme's history.
A forward and midfielder, she played in the women's hockey tournament at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, where Ireland finished tenth.
Hawkshaw attended Mount Sackville school and was a promising Gaelic footballer with St Brigid's GAA and Dublin at underage level, and a cross country runner with Clonliffe Harriers, before concentrating on hockey. She is from Castleknock, Dublin.
