Aoife Casey finished fifth in the women's lightweight double sculls at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games alongside Margaret Cremen, Ireland's best Olympic result in the event.
She made her Olympic debut with Cremen at Tokyo 2020, where the pair placed eighth.
Casey and Cremen won European Junior silver in 2017, European Under-23 silver in 2021 and bronze at the 2022 World Rowing Championships, and qualified for Paris by winning the B final at the 2023 World Championships in Belgrade.
Casey is from Skibbereen, County Cork, and came through the Skibbereen Rowing Club programme.
