Daire Lynch won bronze in the men's double sculls at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games alongside Philip Doyle.
The pair had qualified by taking bronze at the 2023 World Rowing Championships in Belgrade, and in the same season won gold at World Cup III in Poznan and bronze at World Cup I in Varese.
Lynch won gold at the 2020 European Under-23 Championships with Ronan Byrne and bronze at the senior European Championships that year. He has won five Irish national championships, four in the single sculls and one in the pair.
He began rowing in 2015, in his third year of secondary school, and attended Yale University from 2017 to 2022, studying economics and rowing collegiately. He is from Clonmel, County Tipperary.
