Johnny Lynch was part of the Lisnagarvey squad that won two domestic titles and a European trophy in the 2023-24 season.
Named as a travelling reserve for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, he came into the Ireland squad as a replacement after Nick Page sustained a hand injury in the opening match against Belgium, and featured in subsequent pool matches. Ireland finished tenth.
A versatile, counter-attacking defender, Lynch made his senior Ireland debut in 2022 and had won 41 caps by the time of the Games. He graduated in Sport and Exercise Science. He is from Lisburn, County Antrim and plays club hockey with Lisnagarvey.
