Lee Cole won 124 caps for Ireland and is one of the country's most reliable drag-flickers at penalty corners and penalty strokes.
He played in the men's hockey tournament at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where Ireland finished tenth.
A defender, Cole made his senior international debut in 2015 and plays club hockey for Monkstown HC in Dublin. He comes from a hockey family: his father David and uncle Jonathan played underage and senior hockey for Ireland, and his brother Stephen has also played for Ireland at senior level. He was an underage cricketer with Ireland, and in his formative years was coached by Graham Shaw, who went on to lead the Irish women's team. He is from Shankill, County Dublin.
