Margaret Cremen finished fifth in the women's lightweight double sculls at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games alongside Aoife Casey, Ireland's best Olympic result in the event.
She made her Olympic debut with Casey at Tokyo 2020, where the pair placed eighth.
Cremen and Casey won European Junior silver in 2017, European Under-23 silver in 2021 and bronze at the 2022 World Rowing Championships, and qualified for Paris by winning the B final at the 2023 World Championships in Belgrade.
Known as Mags, Cremen is from Rochestown, County Cork. She began rowing in 2014 at Shandon Rowing Club at the age of 15, rows with UCC Rowing Club, and studied Sports Studies and Physical Education with Irish at University College Cork.
