Ben Johnson played in the men's hockey tournament at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where Ireland placed tenth. Ireland came through the FIH qualifying tournament to reach those Games, returning to the Olympic hockey competition for the first time since Rio 2016.

Johnson came through Banbridge Hockey Club and has played for Ireland at World Cup and European Championship level.
