BIOGRAPHY
Jeremy Duncan represented Ireland in the men’s hockey tournament at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
A forward from Kilkenny, Duncan grew up on the Ballyfoyle Road and attended Kilkenny College. He made his international debut for Ireland against England in 2014 and won his 100th cap in Ireland’s opening Olympic qualifier against Ukraine in January 2024 – a match in which he was among the scorers in a 5-1 win. Duncan played professionally in Belgium for several years, including two seasons with Herakles HC where the club reached the semi-finals of the EHL in 2018, and subsequently with Royal Oreé until Covid interrupted his time on the continent.
He received an Ad Astra scholarship at University College Dublin and works as a physiotherapist and clinic manager. He plays club hockey for Monkstown. He celebrated his 30th birthday during the Paris Games.
