BIOGRAPHY
Jim McCourt won a bronze medal in the lightweight division at the Tokyo 1964 Olympic Games.
McCourt won bronze at the 1965 European Amateur Boxing Championships and gold at the 1966 British Empire and Commonwealth Games.
McCourt also competed at the Mexico 1968 Olympic Games, where he served as Ireland’s flag bearer. He won seven Irish senior titles during his career and was later inducted into the Irish Amateur Boxing Hall of Fame.
