Joseph O’Connor

BIOGRAPHY

Joseph O’Connor competed in the water polo competition at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympic Games, where Ireland lost their sole match 11-1 to Belgium.

A 1925 graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, he practised dentistry in Dublin for some years before joining the British Army Dental Corps in 1928.

His brother Michael O’Connor also competed in Olympic water polo at the 1924 Paris Games.
