BIOGRAPHY

Nick Page represented Ireland in the men’s hockey tournament at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

A midfielder born in Slough and raised in London, Page represented England from under-16 to under-21 level and Great Britain at under-23 level before switching allegiance to Ireland in 2021, qualifying through an Irish-born grandparent. He made his senior Ireland debut against Spain in May 2022. He studied sports science and management at Loughborough University on a sport scholarship and plays club hockey for Oxted HC in England’s Premier Division, having previously won two Premier League titles and an England Hockey Cup with Old Georgians.

He won the FIH Nations Cup silver with Ireland in 2022 and EuroHockey Championship II gold in Dublin in 2023. His Paris campaign was cut short when he sustained a hand injury in Ireland’s opening match against Belgium, requiring Johnny Lynch to be brought in as his replacement for the remainder of the tournament. He subsequently took up a post as Hockey Academy Manager at Caterham School.
