BIOGRAPHY
Tomás Coman competed in the men’s 400 metres, the 4×100 metres relay and the 4×400 metres relay at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.
Born in Thurles, Co. Tipperary, Coman ran in both relay squads as well as the individual 400 metres, finishing 5th in his individual heat. He was part of the 4×100 metres team – alongside Paul Brizzel, Gary Ryan and John McAdorey – that set a new Irish national record of 39.26 seconds, and ran in the 4×400 metres team with Paul McKee, Paul Opperman and Robert Daly.
He competed at the 1999 and 2001 World Championships.
