BIOGRAPHY

Brian Fay ran the 5,000 metres at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. He is the first of quadruplets to compete for Ireland at an Olympic Games.

In July 2023 he set an Irish record of 13:01.40 for 5,000 metres at the Night of Athletics meeting in Heusden, Belgium. Fay came to the sport through Raheny Shamrock Athletic Club and studied at Dublin City University before competing collegiately in the United States at the University of Washington.

He is from Glasnevin, County Dublin.
