Barbara Johnson competed in the women’s 400m hurdles at the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games. She was part of Ireland’s athletic squad of four women at the Games.

In 1987, Barbara was a member of the Irish athletics team at the World Champiosnhipsmin Rome where she competed in the 400m hurdles and the 4 x 400m relay.
