BIOGRAPHY

Robert Daly competed in the men’s 4×400 metres relay at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games as part of the Irish quartet alongside Tomás Coman, Paul McKee and Paul Opperman.

A specialist in the 400 metres, Daly went on to become one of Ireland’s most decorated relay runners, winning bronze in the 4×400 metres relay at the 2004 World Indoor Championships in Budapest alongside Gary Ryan, David Gillick and David McCarthy.

His personal best of 45.98 seconds was set in Dublin in July 2004.
