BIOGRAPHY
Greg Broderick represented Ireland in show jumping at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, competing in the individual event aboard MHS Going Global, an Irish Sport Horse gelding.
He advanced through the first qualifying round but finished joint 50th overall after the second qualifier, narrowly missing the cut of the top 45 required to progress.
Broderick grew up at Ballypatrick, a family farm outside Thurles where he is the fifth generation of his family to reside, and which he has developed into a leading equestrian facility. He began competing on the national show jumping circuit at the age of 16, having initially shown a passion for hurling. He is based in Ireland, which was noted as distinctive at a time when many of Ireland’s leading show jumpers were based abroad.
