Paul Opperman competed in the men’s 4×400 metres relay at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games as part of the Irish quartet alongside Tomás Coman, Robert Daly and Paul McKee.

Born 20 December 1979, Opperman was a consistent performer on the Irish 400 metre relay circuit in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
