BIOGRAPHY

Aidan Walsh won an Olympic bronze medal at Tokyo 2020 by beating Merven Clair of Mauritius in the quarter-finals before an ankle injury unfortunately prevented him from contesting the semi-finals.

In 2022 he became a Commonwealth Games gold medalist alongside his sister Michaela who won the women’s featherweight division, marking a historic achievement for the siblings.

He became a two time Olympian at Paris 2024, a remarkable achievement given a difficult path to the Games that saw him qualify only through a box-off in the final Olympic qualifier in Thailand.
