Colm McCoy competed in the men’s boxing at the 1960 Rome Olympic Games, losing his opening bout in a competition of considerable strength in depth, with east-European boxers qualifying for eight of the ten finals and Italy winning three titles in front of their home crowd at the Palazzo della Sport.
