BIOGRAPHY
An eight-time Irish champion, Ryan was the youngest ever (19) champion when he won the first of his three national road race titles in 2014. He won two bronze medals at European U23s in 2013 and a silver on the road at World U23s a year later when he was only a fraction of a second from gold. He was third in the Ras Tailteann in 2015 while still a youth rider, and fifth in the TT at the senior World Road Championships in 2016 before winning a bronze in the TT at the 2017 European Championships. Ryan spent four seasons on the World Tour with Trek-Segafredo before moving to Bora-hansgrohe in 2021 to join up with Irish teammate Sam Bennett and raced in the Giro d’Italia this year. His grandparents are from Duleek in Meath.
