BIOGRAPHY

Aileen Crowley represented Ireland alongside Monika Dukarska in the women’s coxless pair at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, finishing 11th overall.

Their Olympic debut marked the first time Ireland had competed at the Olympics in the women’s coxless pair. They qualified the boat at the 2019 World Rowing Championships in Linz, with Crowley having switched from the women’s four to the pair shortly before the Championships. At the Games they progressed through the repechage, finishing third to secure a semi-final place, before finishing fifth in the B final. Crowley is from Killorglin and is a member of Old Collegians Boat Club.

She holds a degree in architecture from University College Dublin. She also won bronze at the 2020 European Rowing Championships in Poznan as part of the women’s four crew, and silver at the 2021 Rowing World Cup II in Lucerne alongside Dukarska.
