Treen ‘Curly’ Morris

Sailing

BIOGRAPHY

Treen ‘Curly’ Morris crewed in the men’s Dragon class sailing at the 1972 Munich Olympic Games alongside Robin Hennessy and Harry Byrne from race three onwards, after original crew member Joe MacMenamin crewed the first two races.

Morris, a Finn sailing specialist, was brought in to provide additional expertise after the crew’s campaign had already been severely weakened by the illness of the third original crew member Owen Delany.

The Dragon crew finished 16th of 26 boats.
