Martin Feeley

Rowing

BIOGRAPHY

Martin Feeley competed in the men’s coxless four at the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games alongside Andy McDonough, Jaye Renehan and Iain Kennedy, a crew that was eliminated at the repechage stage. A member of the UCD Boat Club alongside Jaye Renehan, Feeley was part of the outstanding Irish rowing generation of the mid-1970s that made unprecedented advances at international level.

The coxless four was described as having the experience required for world class rowing, a characteristic displayed at several pre-Olympic regattas at Mannheim, Ratzeburg, Duisburg and Lucerne.
