BIOGRAPHY

Lauren, who gave up gaelic football four years ago to concentrate on sprinting, has been in the form of her life this season, breaking 53 seconds for the first time in early June. Just over a week later she ran in the heats of the women’s 4x400m Relay in Rome, helping Ireland to make the final where they won silver. In May the Sligo athlete ran in the Women’s 4x400m at the World Athletics Relays in the Bahamas; her first ever 4x400m leg. She has a degree in health science and physical activity from ATU Sligo.
