Sophie Becker has represented Ireland at both the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

At the 2024 European Athletics Championships in Rome, Sophie was integral to the Women’s 4x400m Relay team that secured a silver medal, setting a new Irish national record. Individually, she placed 10th in the 400m event.

During the Paris 2024 Olympics, Sophie and her teammates narrowly missed a podium finish in the Women’s 4x400m Relay, achieving a memorable fourth place with a national record time of 3:19.90.

Domestically, Sophie is the reigning Irish 400m champion. She set her personal best of 51.13 seconds in May 2024.

Off the track, Sophie holds a BSc in Genetics and Cell Biology from Dublin City University and contributes her expertise at Pfizer’s technological innovation center.
