John Lowey competed in the men’s light-heavyweight boxing at the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games, recording two victories before being eliminated in the quarter-finals.

Hampered by a fractured knuckle in his left hand, he was eliminated on a split decision to Nyamaagin Altankhuyag of Mongolia.
