BIOGRAPHY

Abigail Lyle represented Ireland at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in the individual dressage competition.

Born in Northern Ireland, she began riding as a teenager after persuading her parents to buy her first horse following her GCSEs. Lyle later moved to England to work and train in equitation, developing her career under the guidance of Olympic champion Carl Hester.

She made her international debut for Ireland in 2014 and is based in Moreton-in-Marsh in the Cotswolds, where she trains a number of horses. With her horse Giraldo, she competed at the 2022 FEI World Championships and has recorded multiple top-10 Grand Prix Freestyle finishes at international level.
