BIOGRAPHY

Paul Darragh competed in the individual and team showjumping at the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games, riding For Sure, as part of the first all-professional Irish showjumping team.

He went on to compete in Barcelona 1992 with Killylea. Killylea sadly passed away on the journey home from the Games.

Darragh had a successful international career that spanned a quarter of a century and inlcuded three back to back Aga Khan wins from 1977 to 1979 with his team mates of Eddie Macken, Captain Con Power and James Kernan. He won the trophy again in 1997, a full 20 years after his first Aga Khan win.

Paul Darragh sadly passed away on 3 January 2005 aged 51.
