BIOGRAPHY
Sean Daly competed in the show jumping at the 1960 Rome Olympic Games riding Loch Garman as part of the last all-army Irish show jumping team to compete at the Olympics.
The individual Grand Prix was held in extreme heat at the Piazza Siena on a course described by Chef d’Equipe James Neylon as one of the most complex and difficult ever seen in show jumping.
After incurring heavy faults on the seventh combination fence in the first round he was withdrawn after that round as a significant placing was no longer achievable. He completed two rounds in the Nations’ Cup competition.
