BIOGRAPHY

Wayne McCullough won a silver medal in the bantamweight division at the Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games.

McCullough is from Belfast and trained at the Holy Trinity Boxing Club.

At the 1996 Olympic Games he progressed to the final with victories over opponents from Kazakhstan, Canada and Thailand before securing silver.

He went on to become WBC world bantamweight champion as a professional, as well as winning British and European titles.

He later challenged for world titles at higher weight classes and remained active internationally across a long professional career.
