BIOGRAPHY

Seán Doyle competed in the men’s boxing at the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games, winning his first bout before being stopped in the first round of his second contest.

Doyle stopped the Venezuelan Nelson Trujillo in his opening bout, but then faced Romania’s Florin Livadaru in his second contest and was stopped in the first round. He was one of the more successful members of the Irish boxing team in Moscow in terms of progressing past the opening round.
