BIOGRAPHY
The fifth most capped player in the squad was also a good Gaelic player for Mourneabbey. She was initially reluctant to leave Cork where she was studying biochemistry while playing rugby for UCC and Ballincollig, but a chance meeting with IRFU’s Development officer Stan McDowell persuaded her to take up a central contract. She has 140 games on the World Series and was a nominee for Ireland’s Sevens Player of the Year in 2023. Emily has a BSc in biochemistry and is currently doing a Masters in project management.
