Gavin Mullin
Rugby Sevens
BIOGRAPHY
Gavin Mullin represented Ireland in Rugby Sevens at the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Mullin joined the Ireland Sevens programme in August 2020 and was a late call-up for the Tokyo squad, making his Sevens debut at the Games themselves. He went on to become a regular and prominent member of the squad, playing 45 of his 60 World Series appearances in the 2023/24 season alone. A product of Blackrock College, Mullin previously spent three years in the Leinster Rugby academy and made two senior appearances for the province, as well as representing Ireland at Under-20 level in 2017.
His father, Brendan Mullin, won 55 caps for Ireland as a centre and was a British and Irish Lion, making the Mullins one of Irish rugby’s prominent father-and-son partnerships.
